Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanks for everyone that has come out this fall and for those that are coming out soon. Rich and Dave put a pre thanksgiving beat down on some steelhead yesterday! Fished with Mark and his son Joe today, fishing was once again great and so was the company. Lots of fish, lots of laughs, and lots of memories! Thanks boys! Fished fat lines and indies for the last couple days with Walter, Jeff, and California Scott. The weather left something to be desired, however, the fishing did not. Despite the high winds and extremely cold temps fishing was very good. Shout out to my good buddy Denny Bouwens who guided Andy into this monster steelhead. The Muskegon River has some giants lurking. Don't miss out on your chance for a fish of a lifetime like this. Great fish Denny and Andy! Fished with Scott and Scott for the last three days. Fishing on the Muskegon was phenomenal. High dirty water didn't slow us down. Double digits landed everyday. Below are a few of the pictures. Chrome bucks were a common sight for the last few days! Scott with a cookie cutter nine pounder! Scott B with a big hen! Scott M with his own fat girl! Scotty B took the fish of the trip with this stud buck. Couldn't ask for three better days with two better guys. Good laughs, great fishing, and great friends. Scotty and I tried to fish a afternoon half day yesterday that got cut short by the storm. Despite the fact that we fished for only 45 minutes, fishing was great! Andy and bill fished with me today for a few hours before the cold and wind drove us off the water. Andy with a nice one! Bill with a nice Muskegon River Steelhead! Jay and Dave put a whoopin on the Muskegon River Steelhead today. One of these days the fishing will probably get tough but so far this year the fishing on the Muskegon River has been nothing short of phenomenal. Fished with Jim, Shawn, Scott today. Fishing was once again on fire. From the sounds of the gun shots we heard on today's opener of deer season, fishing was far more productive. Not only did we put double digits in the net on steelhead, we landed some awesome trout. Fishing to day had its challenges with high winds but it was not a deterrent for Steve and Larry. These boys put a hurtin' on some Muskegon River Steelhead today. Here are a few of our fish from today. Mark and Don had a great day on the Muskegon River. Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River remains Outstanding. We should have an amazing winter with all the fish that are in the system now.
Bruce and Ken put a whoopin on steelhead today. Despite the wind, rain, and snow fishing was epic. My man ken, 79 years old and still gettin it done! I truly enjoy fishing with Ken and Bruce, never a dull moment!!! Bruce with a nice chromer. There seemed to be a lot of these cookie cutter hens in the Muskegon river today! Ken had the hot stick for the first half of the day. Bruce with a chromer in the blizzard. Niels, Brett, Happy, and Larry fished with me today on the mighty Muskegon River! Once again the Muskegon River didn't disappoint. Double header for Larry and Neils! Doing work! Brett with a jumper from the Muskegon river! Happy with a nice Muskegon River Steelhead! Larry and Happy showed the young guys that they can still get it done! Larry and Neils! Larry left this one out there so that Neils could catch another one! |
