Jim Berthiaume
(Owner & Head Guide)

Born out of a dream, and built from the gravel up, Muskegon River Outfitters is more than a job, it is a passion. I knew at a young age that the river is where I was supposed to be. I found myself in the woods and on the water constantly; through high school and into my early years of college I began to see that my past time could become my full time, and I worked tirelessly to make that happen. I have spent hours on the river, studying formations, currents, levels, habits, and fish. I am fortunate enough to now be able to share this with others. Fishing is far more than just catching, and I want my clients to know this. My goal is to give my clients a world class experience, one that exposes them to the beauty of nature, the skill of angling and the thrill of the catch.

   Travis  Bradfield (Guide)

Originally from Grand Haven Michigan Travis has grown up fishing rivers and lakes all over Michigan but soon realized the river was his home. Spending all of his free time on the river float fishing for salmon and steelhead from the St. Joe to the Manistee and all the rivers in between. Travis all through high school and college  realized that he enjoyed sharing his passion and knowledge of fishing  with others through his experience as a first mate on lake Michigan, which lead him to his career as a year round fishing guide. Between his patience and his sense of humor a day on the water with Travis is one you won't soon forget.

The beautiful scenery alone will capture you and fill you with a sense of awe; I can't get enough.  Fishing has been a love of mine for longer than I can remember.  It is something I have spent years working on; it is a skill and an art.  I love the feel of standing on the water, casting into the current, and waiting for the pull.  People who have never done this just don't understand, but I can promise you this, one trip and you will be hooked.
