Made it home from Arkansas safe and the hunting was phenomenal. I'm already ready for next year. My dad and I have been going to Arkansas for the last 16 years and the hunting this year was the best I've ever seen. We spent about three hours breaking a whole in the ice the second day we were there, but our efforts were well worth it. Jaclyn with a three man limit of ducks. We sent the Arkansas duck season out with a bang. The last day of our hunt we were able to hunt with a few of our friends from Arkansas for what turned out to be the best duck hunt of my life.

First day in Arkansas was a success Jaclyn, my dad, and I drove all night last night through some nasty weather but we made it here safe. Time for good friends, good food, and hopefully continued good hunting. I fished with Luke and his father this weekend and fishing was great. Saturday the bite was good but Sunday was phenomenal. Below are a few pictures from this weekend. Ryan and his dad Dale fished with me today on the Muskegon River and the Steelhead fishing proved to be good. Our morning started off slow but as our day progressed the fishing got better and better. We ended up hooking double digits but patience was the name of the game. Below are a couple of fish that were caught today. Matt and Emily joined me yesterday for a few hours before the cold sent us in. Fishing was very good despite the extremely cold weather. Saturday was a cold day on the water but Ronny, Monk, and Alec put a whoopin on some Muskegon River Steelhead. Not only was it a double digit steelhead day, they landed countless trout, a giant redhorse sucker, and Alec landed a huge northern pike on bobbers and spawn. Never before have I seen a pike caught on a bobber and spawn bag. Definitely a day to remember. |
